Monsters from the Id hits the Windy City

Us geeks at the seejourneyman office are just crazy about sci-fi. So imagine our delight when ‘Monsters from the Id’ teleported its way into our in-trays– it’s a fascinating look at the Atomic Age and its role in the birth of Science Fiction Cinema. So if you’re a fan of such iconic films as the featured ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’, or the quite frankly surreal cult classic ‘Fiend Without A Face’, then this insightful and fascinating look at all things mutated, bug-eyed and damn right other-worldly should be right up your street – or rather hovering directly above it!

I'll be heading for the Windy City’s first screening at the UNITED FILM
FESTIVAL (CHICAGO), the MUSIC BOX THEATRE - 22nd September – 9.30pm. Look forward to seeing you all there - human or otherwise! For more Monsters info check our website - http://tiny.cc/1w4bY

Soldiers of Conscience may march off with an Emmy!

So one of seejourneyman's finest indie flicks- Soldiers of Conscience, has been nominated for the 30th annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards. Here at the seejourneyman squat, we're tickled pink! So I thought I'd take a look at how this festival baby took off.

Did you know that less than 25% US soldiers in combat in the Second World War actually fired their weapons at the enemy?

This was the astonishing fact that spurred the filmmakers to make Soldiers of Conscience. A massive festival and indie hit, soldiers gave a fresh perspective on what it means to be a soldier. Off the back off this viral and festival buzz we secured our first broadcast for the film- after that the sky was the limit! Soldiers is a shining example of how online promotion and word-of-mouth can challenge the rigid broadcast boundaries that are still in operation today.

So what do you think? Born to kill? Make your mind up now at http://www.seejourneyman.com

seejourneyman is Journeyman Pictures' estranged cousin

seejourneyman is Journeyman Pictures' estranged square-eyed cousin. Tired of the same-old “reality” programming? Want to see a different perspective on the world today? seejourneyman brings you fascinating lives off the beaten-track, so real that they’d blow your goggle box!

From soldiers wrestling with their conscience to kill - ‘Mole people’ living in Manhattan's abandoned railway tunnels – to rappers, spilling rhymes about star trek and pocket-protectors . All are available on dvd, on demand, or personally written on your retinas (massive fee will apply).

We compromise on range, but never on quality. Our films are consistent winners of independent film festivals. They're some of the best films you've probably never heard of.
